ino:ESG – Environment, Social responsibility, Governance

Organisational development Operations

Sustainability at inotec - At inotec, our goal is to combine our environmental awareness, social responsibility as well as our governance procedures and practices with the principles of ESG in order to act sustainably in all our business actions.

For us, the latter means fostering innovation, promoting reuse, protecting the environment, reducing emissions, ensuring supply chain transparency, advancing circular economy and upholding ethical business conduct.

We are boldly taking the necessary steps to change our way of work to a more sustainable way and futureproof our actions & products towards a more sustainable world.

This commitment is reflected in the four focus areas in our ESG strategy:

Reduction of energy consumption

Starting with the small steps in optimizing our internal behavior with energy saving policies and workflow optimization, we aim to carry out changes in our current energy infrastructure by investing in e.g., heat recovery and hot water processing.

We are examining our potential and defining action plans for energy efficiency and energy savings in regular energy audits. A dedicated task force is responsible for implementing those action plans.

Supply chain transparency & own workforce

For us it is of the utmost importance to protect and respect everyone connected to our business without compromising on health, safety, or equality.

As we partly operate in high-risk countries that can be susceptible to social risks, we focus on implementing monitoring processes internally and externally to mitigate those risks.

Furthermore, we strive to create an inspiring workplace for our employees that values and supports professional and personal growth.

Conservation of resources & circular economy

Empowering reuse solutions and making more products to move towards circular economy are central to our strategy. By doing so we aim to reduce waste and to ensure that materials circle in more life cycles than only one.

Waste handling and production efficiency are always under improvement to optimize the use the resources in the best way possible.

Emissions reduction

One of the most important keys to fighting global warming is to work on emission levels. We are taking this task very seriously and will publish our first baseline CO2 Accounting in accordance with the Green House Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) in our upcoming ESG Report. This will allow us to set informed reduction targets.

We align our focus areas closely with the UN Sustainable Development Goals THE 17 GOALS | Sustainable Development (un.org) until 2030 to ensure we are contributing to positive development locally, but also globally.

To maintain transparency on our journey towards our 2030 goals, we publish an annual ESG Report where you can track our progress.

The first baseline report is available in the download section.
